Testimonials of Current and Past Clients
P.O.’s Story: P.O is a 38-year-old working mom of 2 active children. In 2019 she had an annual physical and unfortunately her liver numbers came back higher than normal. After having a few tests done, she learned her numbers were high due to a fatty liver. After a couple of attempts to make a change on her own, she just could not hold herself accountable and actually gained more weight. After receiving an invite to attend a Homestyle Food and Fitness group training session and food tasting she said yes, not really knowing what to expect.
P.O. Testimonial: “Hands down it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have been with Tessa for almost 9 months now and have lost 40lbs and my liver numbers have improved significantly! Tessa has taught me so much when it comes to food and fitness and I have learned that eating healthy does not have to be boring. Her recipes are amazing, and I have even learned how to switch up my own recipes to make them healthier for my family. I love that she is there to answer any questions I may have, and knowing she is there to hold me accountable. I have no doubt that I will reach my goal in the next few months and continue this lifestyle change. I have never felt better.” (P.O., 38, Office Manager, April 2021)
Jayme’s Story: Jayme is a single mother of two busy children. She works full time commuting 1-1.5 hours a day to a highly demanding job, traveling at least one week a month. She has always been a gym goer, but never really saw the results she was looking for. She came to Homestyle Food and Fitness not really looking to lose weight but to just get in the best shape of her life. Jayme was only eating 900-1100 calories a day. We slowly increased her caloric intake to 1850-2200 calories a day along with 4-5 days a week of strength training. Jayme committed to the plan, not missing a workout and following the nutrition (with occasional cheats) even when on the road. Her hard work shows in her amazing results!
Jayme’s Testimonial: “2019 was a rough year for me. It was probably one of the worst years of my life, but I decided all that mattered was the way I recovered from it. I wanted to work on me for a change and find a trainer that would help me find results. I started asking around and that is when I was told about Tessa Ludwig, owner of Homestyle Food and Fitness. I set up a consultation with her and she told me that, “80% of fitness is eating the right food.” I told her that was great, but that I could not eat the same food every day, all day. She explained that on her meal plan that would not happen and that there would be plenty of variety. After further discussion, I realized that her and I aligned in our thought process; so, my new journey in training began with Tessa. I have not looked back. My nutrition is on point, and I am loving the food! At 38 years old, I can do a body pullup and not just one, but eight! The progress I have seen with the Homestyle Food and Fitness program the last six months has been awesome and I am weirdly excited about taking my training to the next level! I am killing this chapter! Anyone looking to seriously reach their fitness and nutrition goals should hire Homestyle Food and Fitness! I love and appreciate this program!” (Jayme J., 38, Director-Internal Audit, May 2020)
Nick’s Story: Nick is a 34-year-old veteran, cancer survivor, prior athlete, and father of three. Between battling with his health, time constrictions with his job, and coaching many of his children’s sports, he lost his focus on his fitness and nutrition. His main goals when starting a program with Homestyle Food and Fitness were to get some solid direction on his nutrition, lose some weight, and increase his energy.
Nick’s Testimonial: “I have now been on a program with Homestyle Food and Fitness for just over 2 months. So far, I’ve lost about 15 pounds and gone down 2 full pant sizes, all while eating great food. Most importantly though, my blood pressure has gone down over 20 points, and my bloodwork is perfect for the first time since before cancer. The best part of this program is that I lost 15 pounds while eating to capacity. I never go hungry. I eat food full of flavor; I eat a lot of it, and I don’t crave the junk foods like I used to. I feel leaner, healthier, and more energetic. I would highly recommend Homestyle Food and Fitness to anyone who is looking to reach their fitness and nutrition goals.” (Nick G., 34, VP Solution Delivery, December 2019)
V.R.’s Story: V.R. is a 40-year-old mother of 4 highly active children and wife of a law enforcement officer. She also volunteers a ton of her time helping her husband run a nonprofit youth sports program. Between caring for her kids and running them to all of their activities, and her husband’s crazy work hours, taking time to focus on her nutrition took a backseat. Her goals when she began a fitness and nutrition were to get leaner and stronger, increase her energy, and learn how to do all of that with a crazy schedule.
V.R.’s Testimonial: “I have been on the nutrition and fitness program with Home Style Food & Fitness since September. My initial goals were to lose weight and try to get my body toned. In the first couple of months, I was able to lose 13 pounds and maintain that even through the holiday season. Before I began my program, I had “convenience” eating habits and was working out doing group fitness classes at the gym. That combination left me feeling frustrated, because I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted even though I was consistently working out. Throughout this journey, Tessa has taught me so much about food, food combinations, how food works, and how to fuel my body with REAL food in order for my body to burn it most efficiently. The recipes she creates and provides for her clients are so flavorful that it makes you feel like you’re not even eating healthy… which then makes getting leaner and stronger that much easier! I have also slowly transitioned from the workout at the gym to working out and weight training with Tessa. Her background knowledge and education far exceed anyone I’ve ever known. Her passion for teaching people the proper way to lift weights, exercise, and not get injured is invaluable. Though the workouts are kicking my butt, she also makes them enjoyable and is teaching every step of the way. I’ve never felt so strong, so empowered, and so healthy as I do now.” (V.R., 40, Homemaker, February 2020)
Annette’s Story: Annette is a 53-year-old mother of 3 that quit all her activities when the kids were born (14 years ago). Last year she had breast cancer and gained an additional 10 pounds. This caused some knee pain, poor sleeping habits, struggle to focus at work, and she generally felt awful. Frustrated, she reached out to Homestyle Food and Fitness.
Annette’s Testimonial: “Her program is exactly what I was looking for and needed. Being a medical provider I have some knowledge of good nutrition but needed some pointers in putting it all together. Since working with Tessa I’ve lost 12 pounds, an inch and a half on my waist. But more importantly, I feel so much better! I am sleeping better, more focused and energetic, and not having joint pain!! I have not felt deprived or hungry, in fact, I struggle to get all my calories in. Her recipes are amazing and she offers help on shopping lists and ideas and recipes for the kids too! The whole family is benefiting from good nutrition! This is a tangible and sustainable lifestyle change. Tessa is passionate and very educated and above that, she is a busy mom who “gets it”! Thank you, Tessa!” (Annette R., 53, P.A., January 2020)
