Ingredients

Pork Chops

  • 5 high quality bone in pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste

Apple Bacon Topping

  • 3 slices of lean high quality bacon diced (ex. Hemplers)
  • 1/4 onion diced
  • 1 large honey crisp apple diced
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp all spice
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp Stevia

Instructions

  • Preheat grill on medium to high heat. While grill is heating season the pork chops with salt and pepper, and start the apple topping

Apple Bacon Topping

  • Cook diced bacon on medium heat in a medium sized fry pan. When bacon is cooked all the way through add diced onion and apples. Stir in all the seasonings and saute on low-medium heat for 8-10 min. While sauteing

Pork Chops

  • Place all the pork chops on the grill, medium to high heat, searing both sides for 2 minutes. Turn grill down to low to medium heat for 5-7 minutes each side. Time varies depending on the thickness of the pork chops. Remove from grill and let rest uncovered for 5 minutes. Serve with apple topping and favorite vegetable side to accompany.

Notes

This recipe makes 5 servings. Macronutrient breakdown is with eating 5 oz of the pork chop meat (actual weight of the bone in pork chop was 9.8 oz) and about 1/2 cup of the topping.
